Happy Valentine’s Day

Happy Valentine’s Day friends! Today, I wanted to share a picture of this sweet sterling silver cupid wreath brooch. Wouldn’t it be gorgeous on a silk satin sash, belted around the waist of a bride? Or placed just so, to hold her veil in place? The possibilities are endless for this little pin.
In the last few years, brooches have become popular again, on sweaters, coats, dresses, suits, etc. Brides can incorporate them in their ensemble as well. Years ago, many a bride wore a cherished family heirloom brooch, honoring the important women in her life. What a wonderful tradition!
If there’s no heirloom brooch in your family, why not start one today? Find one in a precious metal like silver, gold or platinum, that will last through the years and still look great. Take your time to choose a motif that would be meaningful to your family.
The Norwegians have this heirloom brooch tradition down pat. Their beautiful Solje wedding brooches have been handed down from generation to generation, with each bride adding her own layer to the brooch. Do a quick search online and you’ll see what I mean.
If this particular vintage cupid brooch speaks to your heart, it will be available soon on my site. Oh, and it gets even better. There is a pendant hook on the back, so it can be worn on a necklace as well. With these options, a bride can also wear it on her anniversary, Valentine’s Day, Sweetest Day, her engagement party, or any day that she’s in love, really!
