Point de Neige lace
As this is new year’s eve, and the last post of the year, let’s have a quick look at a cute little lace called Point de Neige. This is an older type of Venetian point lace mainly made around the mid 1600’s to the early 1700’s near Venice.

What’s so adorable about Point de Neige (snow) is, it has small tiered flowers and stars made from elaborate bars with picots that appear as snow crystals! Perfect for a vintage winter wedding! In fact, one lucky soul snatched up the below Point de Neige veil on Ebay. This lace doesn’t come up for sale very often, but I’m keeping my eyes open so I, too, can make a winter wonderland wedding veil. I’ll be sure to post again when that dream comes true.

As we bid adieu to 2020, I’m sure we’re all looking forward to a better 2021. As Ol’ Blue Eyes sang, the best is yet to come. Happy New Year!
